Gene Feature Overview

Strain Pseudomonas aeruginosa PAO1 (Stover et al., 2000)
GCF_000006765.1|latest
Locus Tag
PA1998
Name
dhcR
Replicon chromosome
Genomic location 2184475 - 2185395 (- strand)
Transposon Mutants 2 transposon mutants in PAO1
Transposon Mutants in orthologs 3 transposon mutants in orthologs
CommentDeletion of dhcR or transposon insertions into the coding sequence result in a strain unable to grow using L-carnitine as a sole carbon source. DhcR regulates the transcriptional induction of the adjacent dhcAB genes in response to an L-carnitine catabolite predicted to be 3-dehydrocarnitine.
